A gentle mechanical exfoliator that lifts away dead skin without stripping. Bentonite clay to draw out impurities, coconut soap for that satisfying clean feeling, a fine coconut shell scrub. A soft weekly reset.
New Beginnings is built on a coconut soap base, so it needs water to lather. Wet hands, wet face, then a small scoop worked between your palms is all it takes.
For skin that's started looking a little dull, that mid-week “my face just looks tired” feeling. One weekly reset brings the glow back, without stripping anything you want to keep.

About this product
A weekly reset for your skin. Bentonite clay has a real drawing effect, pulling impurities from deep in the pores, while coconut soap gives that satisfying clean feeling without leaving skin dry. It encourages skin’s natural turnover, removing dead surface cells, unclogging pores and leaving your complexion clear and ready for everything that comes after. Use twice a week, any more risks over-exfoliating.
Why you'll love it
- The ‘freshly reset’ feeling that lasts for days.
- Not harsh, you can use it weekly without irritation.
- Skin absorbs everything better after.

What's doing the work
Naturally drawing, helps lift impurities and refine the look of pores.
Traditionally used to calm and soothe reactive skin.
A rich, moisturising oil. The hydrating counter to the clay's deep draw.
How to use
Wet your hands and face, this product needs water to lather and activate. Take a generous 50-cent-coin sized amount and work it between wet palms until it lathers. Massage onto your face in gentle circles for 30–60 seconds, then rinse thoroughly. Follow with The Mist and The Butter or Wonder Balm.
If your skin is sensitive or dry, apply The Melt first, it cushions the skin before exfoliating and prevents irritation.
Twice a week is perfect. Any more than that is too much.

Frequently asked
How often should I use it?
Twice a week is perfect. Any more than that risks over-exfoliating, which can leave skin sensitised. If you have sensitive skin, apply The Melt first, it cushions the exfoliation and prevents irritation.
Do I use it on wet or dry skin?
Wet, always. New Beginnings needs water to lather and activate. Wet your hands and face first, then work it between wet palms until it lathers. Applying dry gives you a scrub without the cleanse.
Do I need to cleanse before using it?
Not usually. If you're using it in the morning on a mostly-clean face, New Beginnings is your cleanse and exfoliator in one. In the evening after makeup or SPF, cleanse with The Melt first, then follow with New Beginnings for the deeper reset.
It seems drying, is that normal?
New Beginnings is a mechanical exfoliator plus a light natural soap, so it can feel tightening straight after use, especially if you've left it on too long. Rinse thoroughly and follow with The Mist and a moisturiser (The Butter or Wonder Balm work beautifully here). If your skin is on the sensitive or dry side, apply The Melt first, it cushions the skin before exfoliating and prevents irritation. If it still feels harsh, reduce frequency to once a week.
Is it safe during pregnancy?
SCB products aren't formulated with pregnancy specifically in mind. They contain plant oils and essential oils (including roman chamomile) in small concentrations. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to be, we'd recommend running the ingredients list past your doctor or midwife before use.
Where does it ship from and how long does it take?
